Christopher Tin has won prizes in two major songwriting competitions. He was the winner of the International Songwriting Competition in their World Music category, and a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition. Both prizes were given for the opening track to his debut album 'Calling All Dawns', "Baba Yetu". The competitions were judged by some of the biggest names in World Music, including Youssou N'Dour and Baaba Maal.

The album is performed by some of the most respected names in world and classical music, including the Soweto Gospel Choir, Dulce Pontes, Frederica von Stade, Anonymous 4, Sussan Deyhim, Lia, and many more--all backed up by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
