EDM MEETS ORCHESTRA
Collide is a cross-genre collaboration between Christopher and Australian DJ/Producer Tyson Illingworth, AKA Tydi. Fusing together various genres of electronic music with orchestral arrangements, TyDi and Christopher released a twelve-song album of cinematic EDM with a large cast of guest vocalists.

TyDi and Christopher Tin met through a mutual contact at music publisher Warner/Chappell, and were originally planning to just write one song together as an experiment. After they discovered a creative chemistry, they kept putting together tracks until they had a full album.

Collide does a great job remaining cohesive while spanning across numerous electronic music sub-genres (ranging from trance to electro to future bass), its stylistic variation isn’t even its most impressive feature. The album works in a rather stunning usage of dynamic range in both its vocals and instrumentation (which is not often seen in dance music), and also spends the majority of its length veering away from recognizable dance music formulas.
