Nationals Park

Washington National Opera's production of Turandot, featuring a new ending composed by Christopher, will be broadcast at Nationals Park in Washington, DC as part of their annual 'Opera in the Outfield' event. First Plymouth UCC

Kantorei, Denver's premiere choral ensemble, will be performing an entire evening of new works by Christopher, including 'Song Offerings', a newly-commissioned setting of Gitanjali by Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore, specially composed for Kantorei. Also on the program is his other new choral suite, 'Transfigurations', with poetry by Charles Anthony Silvestri. Christopher will be sharing conducting duties with Kantorei's Music Director Joel M. Christopher will conduct a full evening concert entirely of his works, featuring The Lost Birds in the first half, and a collection of his greatest hits in the second. The concert will feature the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, Bel Canto Choir Vilnius, vocal ensembles Duodeco (LT) and A Scalpella (SE), and guest soloists Jamal Moore (US) and Tomas Pavilionis (LT). The concert is hosted by Bel Canto Choir Vilnius as part of their ongoing 'Open to the World' concert series. For tickets and more information visit the Bel Canto Choir Vilnius website.

Christopher's sweeping oratorio 'To Shiver The Sky' was given its world premiere in Washington DC by The United States Air Force Band, Choral Arts Society of Washington, and ModernMedieval. The multimedia concert was presented by Washington Performing Arts at DC's newest waterfront venue The Anthem, with three screens of synchronized videos.

Llangollen International Eisteddfod

Christopher headlined the third night of the 70th Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod festival in Llangollen, Wales. Conducting the Welsh National Opera Orchestra and featuring a roster of international soloists and choirs, Christopher performed Calling All Dawns, Sogno di Volare, and Passou o Verao to an audience of 1500. The Shropshire Star wrote "Christopher Tin was the star of the show..." and that Baba Yetu prompted "riotous applause and a standing ovation from the audence both after the show and its encore."
